Itinerary Detail

Day 1  Leh

Upon your arrival in Leh, our representative will be there to welcome you and transfer you to the pre-listed hotel. After completing the check-in formalities, you can unwind and prepare yourself for the exciting journey ahead. The first day is dedicated to rest, allowing you to acclimate to the high altitude of Leh (11,500 ft / 3500 mtrs). Further, enjoy a delicious dinner and a peaceful overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 2  Leh – Alchi – Leh

On the 2nd day of the Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake tour, you will head towards Alchi after having a delicious breakfast. Alchi is famous for its miniature paintings and monasteries. En route, you will drive past the Magnetic Hill, River Indus, and River Zanskar confluence at Nimu. Upon your arrival, you will visit the Alchi Monastery. The foundation stone of the monastery was laid sometime back in 990 A.D. Explore the historical and cultural heritage of the monastery and spend some time in peace here.

Return to the hotel after the daylong excursion for leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.

Day 3  Leh – Nubra Valley

Post breakfast, check out from the hotel, and embark on a mesmerizing drive to the Nubra Valley, 125 kilometers from Leh. On the way to Nubra Valley, cross the Khardungla Pass, which is 18360 ft. above sea level and has the highest motorable pass in the world. In the afternoon, visit the Diskit, Hunder Monasteries, and White Sand Dunes. Enjoy a camel safari on the double-humped camels found only in the Nubra Valley as far as India is concerned.

Day 4  Nubra Valley – Leh

After breakfast, visit the Samstanling Monastery and then embark on a return drive to Leh via Khardungla Pass. In the evening, you can do some last-minute shopping in the Leh markets, famous for Pashmina Shawls, Pearls, Chinese Cutleries, and Ladakhi wooden handicraft items. The remaining day is leisurely and can be spent at your discretion.

Day 5  Leh – Pangong Lake (150 kms.)

On day 5 of your Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake tour, you’ll wake up early to embark on a journey to the breathtaking Pangong Lake. Located on the Indo-China Border via Chang-la pass at 17370 ft, the lake is a sight to behold. After a full day of sightseeing around the lake, you’ll check in at a fixed-tented camp near the lake at Spangmik, or drive back for 30 km to Tangtse and check into a Hotel/Guest House for an overnight stay.

Day 6  Pangong-Hemis / Thiksey-Leh (165 kms.)

After breakfast, leave Pangong/Tangtse and retrace the Leh route across Chang-La. Enjoy the panoramic views on your way to Leh. Upon reaching Karu, you will drive across the Indus via Shey Palace and visit the famous Hemis Monastery, the biggest monastery in Ladakh. After spending some time here, you will head towards Leh en route to visit the picturesque Thiksey Monastery. This 12-storey complex is one of the famous monasteries of the region. Snuggled at 3,600 m above sea level, you can get breathtaking views of the valley.

Upon your arrival in Leh, you will have an assisted transfer to the hotel. If the time and energy permit, you can visit the market. Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.

Day 7  Drop to Leh Airport.

Today, your Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake tour ends. Arise early, check out of the hotel, and get an assisted transfer to Leh Airport. Upon arriving at the airport, board your flight for your onward journey with cherished memories of your Ladakh holiday.
