How should you plan your 6 days itinerary of Ladakh
Day 1: Arrive in Leh and take full day rest. Take a stroll in the streets and bazaars in the evening… The first day is very important for acclimatization.
Day 2: Ideally, you should acclimatize on the second day also but if you don’t have any symptoms of AMS (headaches/dizziness) then you could embark on a local sightseeing tour and some monasteries like Shey, Thiksey, and Hemis which are close to Leh Town
Day 3: Either Nubra Valley or Pangong (don’t forget to obtain inner line permits from Leh DC office on the second day itself which is required for visit to both these). Here’s some more on inner line permits in Ladakh.
If you decide on Pangong Tso, you have 3 options for spending the night. First one is Tangtse which is 30 km before Pangong Lake with very good accommodation options. The second one is Lukung where you could camp by yourself or stay in eco huts. Third and best one is at Spangmik just by the lake and close to the famous 3 Idiots Point. Spangmik has all kind of accommodation option. For budget, there are homestays, for deluxe there are camps and for luxury, there are camps with attached toilets and running hot water. Take your pick.
If it is Nubra Valley, then cross Khardung La and arrive in Nubra Valley. I’d suggest you stay in Hunder “the desert in the sky”. Next day do the Bacterian double-humped camel ride in the sand dunes of Hunder. Visit Panamik known for its hot sulfur spring. Later return to Leh via Khardung and spend the night in a hotel.

Day 4: You could visit the confluence of Zanskar and Indus River at Nimoo. Drive to Alchi visit the Alchi Monastery. Also, visit Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and Magnetic Hill which are on this very road. You could also make it to Likir but then again, see to it that your schedule doesn’t get too hectic and becomes touch and go experience. In Ladakh, one should take time to soak in the surroundings.
Day 5: You haven’t traveled to Ladakh if you missed Khardung La. Today go conquer the world’s highest motorable pass and return and spend your evening exploring Tibetan Markets. Do visit Shanti Stupa in the evening. It’s an awe-inspiring place offering a panoramic view of Leh Town.
Day 6: Back to where you want to go.
